When I was brainstorming scents inspired by Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge, I wanted something to capture the more modern city aspect. I started looking into Japanese street fashion, which is a whole world of its own, and decided I wanted a more masculine scent to balance out my trio.
So, I created my own blend for these Kyoto Metro Wax Melts. Top notes of jasmine, bergamot, and herbs meld with cedarwood and suede; rounding it out are patchouli, musk, and sandalwood.
To me, this scent mimics the unique balance portrayed in Japanese street fashion: crisp-collared suit jackets with tripp pants, babydoll dresses with platform combat boots...
