Sun Sooth Salve
Just as I do with my other herbal salves, I infuse the oils in my Sun Sooth Salve with useful herbs:
Aloe Leaf* is well known for its ability to sooth burns, and this includes the outer part of the leaves. By removing the gel and drying the outer parts of the leaves, I'm able to make this salve without the need for a preservative, while maintaining the beneficil properties of the herb.
American Plantain** is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse, and a staple in my herbal garden.
Lavender* helps speed up tissue repair and calms inflammation.
Chamomile has been use for ages to sooth inflammation.
Dandelion Leaf** relieves skin irritation and soreness, and one study has shown it may help reduce skin damage from UV rays.
