2025 Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Fundraiser
Week 1 Updates
During Week 1 of the 2025 PanCAN Fundraiser, we raised $567!
Kickoff Stream - Crafting with A.G. Illustration
We kicked off the fundraiser with a late-night crafting stream, with special guest A.G. Illustration. While they painted works for their graphic novel, we chatted about our favorite and least-favorite Nancy Drew games, and asked A.G. Illustrations for some ND-related hot takes. By the end of that night, our community had raised $205.
Ritualized Fundraising - Secret of the Scarlet Hand Part 1
For the second stream of Week 1, I started playing a game chosen by my Twitch subscribers, Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand.
While I discovered a newfound love for this game, it was a relatively quiet fundraising stream.
We raised $49 this day, ending with a total of $254.
Much Ado About PANCAN - Shakespeare with PiousPrivateEye
Over on PiousPrivateEye's Twitch channel, she held a table read of Shakespeare's Much Ado About nothing, with a cast of 10 people all reading different characters.
This was a huge highlight of Week 1, both in terms of fun and in terms of amount raised. During this stream alone, Pious's community raised $221!
Counting a donation from earlier that morning, we ended the night with a fundraiser total of $500, meeting our first milestone!
Unraveling with ND Crafts
For our final stream of Week 1, Ricki over at NDCrafts played Unravel on her YouTube channel, adding her own twist to the night.
For every $25 raised, she had a special sound-related surprise for her viewers; and if her community raised $100 before the end of the night, she would let her children do her makeup for our Week 2 crafting stream!
Counting a post-stream donation made later that night, Ricki's community met her target, bringing the fundraiser total up to $602!
Week 2 Updates
See what we've been up to this week!
Purple Queen - Blue Prince with Interrogames
For the very first stream of Week 2, Iris over at Interrogames decided last-minute to hold a stream playing the popular game, Blue Prince.
For this stream, Iris came up with her own parameters:
Hit $25, she would select all rooms blind.
Hit $50, there would be a Tuna (her cat) butterfly sighting.
Hit $75, she would do a transatlantic accent for 5 minutes.
Hit $100, she would draw the chat in an epic ode to the Last Supper.
In addition to this, any time someone donated $5 or more, she would write the donor's name on her face. She also, quite generously, matched donations up to $500!
This was an incredibly successful start to Week 2, raising $621.48 in one night. This brought the fundraiser total up to $1,388.48!
Yarnaholics Unite! - Crafting with NDCrafts and PiousPrivateEye
For the second crafting stream of the fundraiser, I had on friend and fellow knitter/crocheter Ricki from NDCrafts, and later friend and crocheter PiousPrivateEye.
We chatted about the Barbie movies, knitting struggles, how to measure for a sweater, and more. Meanwhile, I struggled to cast on a cowl.
We reached another milestone during this stream, and hosted 2 giveaways! Adding donations made later that night, we ended the day having raised $178, with a total of $1,566.48.
Caught Purple-Handed: Secret of the Scarlet Hand Part 2
For this week's gaming stream, I continued Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand. But first: CHAOS WHEEL!
For every $100 leading up to this stream, I would spin the Chaos Wheel. Due to this, I began this stream with 13 wheel spins, singing holiday songs as different Nancy Drew characters and playing the game with my elbows.
This was a pretty chill fundraising stream, only raising $8. But every bit counts, and we ended the stream sitting at $1,574.48.
Mrs. Drake Speedruns Blackmoor Manor
When PiousPrivateEye told me she would be speedrunning Curse of Blackmoor Manor, I didn't expect her to cosplay as Mrs. Drake the whole time, but that she did.
Pious generously offered 3 extra items to be added to the fundraiser page just for her stream, and all 3 of those items were claimed!
After breaking her personal record, Pious and her community had raised $144.52, bringing the fundraiser total up to $1,764!
Unboxing the Cryptic Killer with LuceGooseGames
For the final stream of Week 2, I joined LuceGooseGames over on her channel to solve some co-op puzzles in Unboxing the Cryptic Killer. Luce had a raid during this stream, which resulted in a donation match!
After a few hours of streaming, we finished the game having raised $481 during this stream alone. At the end of the stream, the fundraiser landed at $2,345!
Next Up
The next PanCAN Fundraiser event will be the final crafting stream of the month on my channel, with friend PiousPrivateEye on 11/17!
