Black Drawing Salve
Black drawing salve is recognizable for its dark color, caused by the inclusion of activated charcoal. My version is slightly different in that I include Bentonite Clay, and infused the oils in my salve with multiple helpful herbs, which I foraged locally myself.
American Plantain is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and is also both antimicrobial and an anti-oxidant.
Dandelion sooths the skin, relieving irritation and easing soreness.
Wild Blue Violet is knows for anti-bacterial properties, while also helping sooth irritation.
Activated Charcoal is known as a deep cleanser, helping draw out impurities.
Bentonite Clay binds to impurities, pulls excess oils from the skin, and aids in reducing inflamation.
Apply this salve topically to help draw out splinters, bee stings, and ingrown hairs. May temporarily relieve irritation from boils, bug bites, scratches, and splinters.*
